Connor, Gerald John “Jerry”, Age 63, of Jackson, went home to be with the Lord on August 1st, 2024. He was surrounded by family and loved ones at Henry Ford Hospital, Jackson. He was the son of Daniel J. Connor and Rita LeBlanc Connor. Jerry was born on May 8, 1961, in Livonia, MI. He is survived by his wife of 21 amazing years, Kimberly Redd Connor, his six children, Laura (Charlie) Binschus; Christopher Baines (Amanda); Amber Connor (Shanon); Ashley Connor (Todd); Autumn Connor (Kyle); and Angel Connor; his 19 Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Madisyn, Koi, Kaitlynn, Dakoda, Trenton, Kayli, Adrianna, Christopher, John-Lewis, Rita-Ann, Ember-Jo, Todd, Connor, Amelia, Amador, Amadeo, Aurelio, and Amalia; his brothers: Daniel A. Connor, Ralph (Bud) and Cheryl Connor; his mother-in-law, Annie Mae Redd; brother-in-law, Jerry (Renee) Redd; Sisters-in-law, Kay Lambert, Gwen (Robert) Malone, Connie Redd Burt, Carol Redd and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had several special friends that became family to Jerry. He is preceded in death by his children: Tommy, Adam and Annie; Grandchild Kenneth, Jr.; and his parents, Daniel J. and Rita L. Connor; niece Carrie Connor, and nephew Jason Corkerin. Jerry graduated in 1979 from Lumen Christi High School and graduated from Jackson Community College with a degree in Physical Education as well as Master Mechanic. Jerry was employed by Eaton Aeroquip Corporation and was a member of the UAW Local 475. He was in the Rut Runners 4x4 Club and enjoyed bowling, classic and muscle cars, mud bogging, mud drags, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, street racing, snow plowing, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ Apostolic Church – 501 Superior Street, Albion, MI. Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Terron Erwin and Pastor David Trammell officiating.
Visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel – 2590 Spring Arbor Road on Monday, August 5th, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and at the Church, Tuesday, August 6th from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Jack and Heather Carr, Shiela Miller, Phyllis Crabtree, Steve Bohl, Dr. Gary Lynd, Kevin Bohlen, his Alabama family as well as his Alabama Church family.
