Of Jackson, passed away at home under the loving care of his family January 12, 2025 aged 74 years.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Laura, one daughter Amy (David) Daly, one son Gary (Andrea) Weinhardt, all of Jackson, four grandchildren; Brandon, Jade, Jared and Meg, three sisters; Lynn Weinhardt, Sandy Milligan and Cindy Gregory, sister-in-law Lisa Coffelt, many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was preceded in death by his son Andrew, brother Jeff, his mother Beverly Westrick and his father Barney Weinhardt.  He graduated from both Jackson and Parkside High Schools, Class of 1969, was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, at RIPCORD in the 101st airborne screaming eagles.  He owned and operated Gary Weinhardt Painting, enjoyed golfing, casino’s (especially the craps table) and collecting anything and everything.  According to his wishes cremation has taken place, a Memorial Service will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel 2590 Spring Arbor Rd., Friday January 24, 2025 at 2:00pm Gordon Ancrile officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Cascades Humane Society – 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, Michigan 49202 or American Legion, Post #29 – 3200 Lansing Avenue, Jackson, Michigan 49202
