Garry L. Thornton

of Parma, Michigan

Garry passed away on May 1, 2026 at the age of 64. Survived by his father, Harvey “Bill” Thornton of Spring Arbor; his mother, Joan (Gary) Holder of North Carolina; 2 brothers, Larry (Channa) Thornton of North Carolin, and Terry (Laura) Thornton of Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott A. Thornton in 2005.

He was a member of the Parma Outdoor Club. Garry was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed cooking and baking. He helped with the fish fry and breakfasts at the Outdoor Club. He enjoyed morning coffee with the guys at the Tompkins Store every morning.

The Celebration of Garry’s Life will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Parma Outdoor Club, 10110 Maines Road, Parma, Michigan 49269. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Chapel. Please express your condolences to the family at www.watson-funeral-chapels.com.
