Smith, Frank Albert, 85, of Spring Arbor, passed away on July 31, 2024. Frank was a carpenter by trade and social butterfly who loved his family and friends. He spent over 40 years as a Fireman with Parma-Sandstone, and retired from Jackson County Road Commission. He also worked at Michigan International Speedway as part of their fire crew, along with Ideal Speedway in Springport, MI.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite, his young son, Charles, and one brother. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Larry) Natschke; Lue (Steve) Cichy; one brother and one sister; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one-great-great grandchild.
Frank had a passion for the outdoors and was a life-member of the Parma Outdoor Club and Leslie Tractor Club. He enjoyed bowling, camping, snowmobiling, golf, playing cards and volunteering at the Jackson County Fair.
The family is honoring his wishes of cremation and will celebrate his life privately.
