Francis "Frank" H. Silvernail

Francis (Frank) H. Silvernail, a resident of Jackson, MI, passed away on January 17, 2023. He was 87 years old.

Frank is survived by his wife Ellen of 64 years of marriage; daughter Francine Ponte (spouse David), son Tony Silvernail (spouse Rochelle); grandchildren Jacob Silvernail, Shannon O’Connor, Alexandra Silvernail and Emma Cortes (spouse Miguel); step-grandchildren Elisabeth Ponte, Noah Ponte (spouse Jacqueline) and Mariah Ponte (fiancé Corey); great grandchildren Miguel Cortes; step-great grandchildren Eleanor Ponte and Charlotte Ponte; also, survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by son Richard Silvernail, parents Clyde and Theodora Silvernail, and brother Robert Silvernail.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from General Motors after a 43-year career. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking and building dollhouses for charity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11am. Visitors welcome at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.mda.org, or Lumen Christi High School, www.jacksoncatholicschools.org.
