Frances Margaret Smak

Of Jackson, MI went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the age of 77. She was the daughter of Robert and Rita (Cummings) Frybarger, born July 11, 1946 in Jackson, MI. Frances is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Smak, and together they celebrated their 57th anniversary on November 19th ; their children, Stephen R. Smak, Margaret (Steve) Bell, and Christine (Mark) Konopacki; granddaughters, Mataya and Calista; 10 brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jean Wowianko. Frances was a devoted member of Queens Parish. She enjoyed cross-stich, reading, poetry, and painting. Frances loved to spend time with her family, especially her granddaughters and was the happiest when all her family was together. Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, 1111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, MI 49203 on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 10:30am with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30pm.
