Eva O. Appel of Vandercook Lake, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully in her sleep June 9, 2022 age 90 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Oliver Appel, her son Douglas Appel, sisters; Macy Crook and Myrtis McCray, brother Dewey Blackburn and her parents Roth and Dorothy Blackburn. Survived by two daughters; Barbara Greenslade and Crystal (Charles) Ragain, grandchildren; Scott (Heather) Greenslade, Chad (Randi) Greenslade, Angela Ragain, Charlene (Kurt) Pyle, Andy (Kristy) Ragain, Christopher (Ashley) Ragain and all their families, sister, Carolyn Platts of North Carolina, sister-in-law Joyce (Ron) Durst of Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
Eva graduated from Flatcreek High School, South Carolina, was a member of Vandersook Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the choir and ensemble and trios. She also sang to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the Arbor Oaks Staff. She was a devoted wife and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Vandercook Baptist Church 703 E.
