Ethelda Margaret (Losey) Weller

Weller, Ethelda Margaret (Losey) passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the age of 101. Daughter of Claude and Nina Losey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Lawrence James Weller. She is survived by children, Bruce and (Maxine), Wayne and (Sandra), Charles and (Carol), Kay Lane and Lawrence C. Weller; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1939, earned an associate degree in accounting in 1970. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lincoln C. Losey, and sisters, Ila Losey and Beth Losey. She is survived by her sisters, Rhea Matteson, Luella Fry, and Karen Connell- Hicks all of Jackson. Services will be held at Bennett Community Church, 5590 Springport Road, Jackson, MI 49201 on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00am.  Interment will be in Lincoln-Pomeroy Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Henry Ford Hospice Home. She was an avid reader, especially historical fiction, liked sewing, knitting, and cooking. Enjoyed visits to western US, Canada, Mexico, England; Windsor, Hampton Court Palace, Tower of London, Heather concert of Royal Albert Hall, Brighton.

The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 3:00-6:00pm and on Monday at the Bennett Community Church from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
