Ervin Prater

Ervin Prater of Parma, passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the age of 95.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon A.; three sons and one daughter, Michael (Janice) Prater, Emily (Moe) Sullivan, Timothy (Pam) Prater, and Ted Prater all of Parma; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Allafar Caudill of Alabama, and Lindy Prater of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sons and one daughter, Daniel, Amy, and John Prater. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Ervin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and always had a smile. 

A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Parma Chapel, 10664 W. Michigan Ave., Parma, MI on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00pm with Michael D. Mason officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Parma Chapel from 12:00pm until the time of service at 1:00pm.
