Eric Lynn Thomas

Eric Lynn Thomas passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023.  Eric was born December 7, 1951 in Jackson, Michigan the son of Oliver M. and Agnes E. Thomas.  Eric graduated from East Jackson High School in 1970.  He began driving truck in 1973 delivering home heating oil and gas.  He retired in 2016 after 43 years of service.  He drove for Serafin Oil, Pipeline Oil, and Corrigan Oil.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards.  He was a founding member of the Jackson County Horseshoe Pitching Club.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Debra (Walz) Thomas; 2 children Justin Thomas, and Alicia (Jonathan Donovan) Thomas; 3 grandchildren, Collin Thomas, Olivia Thomas, and Samuel Thomas; brother, Norman (Jane) Thomas; special friends, Jim & Cathy McLean, Roger & Judy Thompson, Ron & Linda Lucasik, and Matt & Barb Ryan; and many other family members and friends.  Eric was preceded in death by his parents and stillborn twin brother, Steve Thomas.

The celebration of Eric’s life will be 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Michigan Center Eagles Lodge #3634, 302 Fifth Street, Michigan Center, Michigan.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to the Henry Ford Hospice Home.  Arrangements by Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI.
