Emery Lee Jr. Obituary

71, passed away at home Friday, September 25, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ellen Lee; four children, Emery G. (Frances) Lee III , Lisa (Terry) Calkins, Angie Larsen (Mike Powell), and Marlow Lee; eight grandchildren, Samantha, Victoria (Coty), Hillary, Breeanna, Heather, Derek, Nikolai, and Beverly; and two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Elle Lynn; 6 siblings Judy (Bob), Linda (Gary), Annabelle (Sunny), Robert (Deb), Connie (Chuck), and Bonnie; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Emery Sr.; as well as two siblings, Crystal and Terrigean. Despite a protracted battle with cancer and other ailments, Emery maintained a positive mental outlook and his sense of humor stayed strong during his fight. Many will remember him for being a family man. He also enjoyed debating anything and was a passionate coach of sports over the years. At various times he coached little league softball and baseball, travel fast-pitch softball, junior high football, and wrestling. Others will remember him as an enthusiastic outdoorsman. For many years he and several relatives and friends made several annual hunting and fishing trips around the state, including his beloved “Camp Moron” where he and the “boys” were able to get away for a few weeks for deer camp. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
