Edda Maria Whitehead, 85, of Jackson, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on May 22nd, 2025. Edda was a brave, strong-willed, and diligent woman who will be missed and remembered. Her determined smile told a story. Edda made sure those around her were fed, especially fed full of her delicious German dishes. Her family has peace knowing she is now with Jesus Christ.

She grew up in Neckarsulm, Germany, and loved to tell stories of her childhood. Edda took great pride in her German heritage. In 1961, Edda met her late husband, Pete, while he was stationed in Germany. They moved to the United States, and her new life started. Edda had five children – Joerg Whitehead, Mike Brewer, Joyce (Phil) Iott, Jane (Andy) Adcock, and Jeanette (Marc) Humphreys.
Edda loved gardening, baking, decorating for Christmas, watching Hallmark movies, playing cards, and shopping at thrift stores.
