Dr. Jerrol Pfeiffle

Dr. Jerrol Pfeifle, age 96, passed peacefully Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the comfort of Summit Park Assisted Living in Jackson, Michigan. Jerrol lived proudly in Jackson throughout his life except during his military service in the Air Force during WWII. Jerrol graduated from Jackson High School, followed by attaining his degree in Optometry and enjoyed his career with his father for decades until his retirement. Jerrol was a member of the Jackson Lions Club, spanning over 60 years, while also enjoying his passions for golf, bowling, travel, coaching little league baseball, dance club and partying with many close friends. Jerrol’s perpetual sense of humor entertained all those who were in his company.

Jerrol was preceded in death by his wife, Nannette, whom he missed dearly. He is survived by his son, Jerry (Genette) Pfeiffle, Jr. as well as daughters Sue (Rick) Principe and Lynn (Robert) Turek. Additionally, Jerrol was blessed with seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He and his family were loyal members of Arbor Grove Congregational Church.

According to family wishes, cremation has been rendered and there will be a private family memorial service at a future date in Jerrol’s honor. Jerrol’s final resting will be next to his wife, Nannette, at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jackson Lions Club or Ella Sharp Park Museum.
