Dorris Marjorie (Tolles) Rea

Dorris went to be with her Savior on Friday morning, March 22nd , at home in her Jackson, Michigan apartment. She passed peacefully in her sleep less than a month from her 101st birthday.  Dorris was born April 19th, 1923, in Lansing, Michigan to Alvin and Mayjle (Carmen) Tolles. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, William Martin (Bill) Rea Jr., along with 5 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her son, William Martin (Bill) Rea III (Debbie), her daughter Dawn Meserva (Richard), 5 grandchildren [Kelly Lewis (Steve), Karey Wojciekhowski (Steve), Kurt Meserva (Rachael), Corey Meserva, and William Martin (Marty) Rea IV (Jenny)], 9 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and many friends at her Maple Ridge West Apartment Complex.

Dorris graduated high school from Vandercook in 1940 and married Bill 1 year later. Bill served in World War II, and shortly after his return she went to work for Mechanical Products, where she worked for 25+ years. She enjoyed golf, traveling, watching old Westerns, playing cards with friends, and being around family. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and volunteered at Allegiance (Henry Ford) Hospital in Jackson for several years.

Dorris has been cremated and, per her request, her ashes have been laid to rest with her husband at Roseland Cemetery. The family of Doris have decided to have a private celebration and would like to thank all who sent love and sympathy.  She is sadly missed.
