Donna Jean Raymond

Donna Jean Raymond, age 69 of Tompkins township went home to be with the Lord on November 10, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a 14-year courageous battle with cancer.  Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Mabel Barnhouse.

Survived by her 2 children Richard (Theresa) Raymond and Jennifer Raymond, 2 grandchildren Aaron Raymond and Megan Raymond, sister Linda Tucker and nephew Matt (Melissa) Tucker.  Donna was born November 10, 1952 in Jackson to Richard and Mabel Barnhouse. She graduated from Springport High School in 1970. She worked at Consumers Power, Jacobson's and then proceeded to go on to Hutches where she worked in the bakery/deli and as a cashier until she retired.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family, knitting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, Nascar and playing cards.  She was an active member of Village Hope Church where she participated in the after-school programs for the children.  The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Trimble and the oncology team at Henry Ford Allegiance.

Celebration of her life will be held at Watson Funeral Chapel 2590 Spring Arbor Road Jackson, Michigan 49203 on Monday, November 15 at 11am with Pastor Matt Tucker officiating.  Graveside service will be held at Lincoln-Pomeroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Village Hope Church.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 14 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm.
