Donald Roger Kloepfer, known to all as Roger, went to be with his Lord on July 27, 2025, surrounded by family at age 83 after a long battle with cancer.
Roger was born in Lansing, Michigan to Donald and Ila Kloepfer. Roger was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School and furthered his education at Ferris State University. Roger was a BioMedical Engineer and employed through the years by Sparrow Hospital, W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital and Doctor’s Hospital.
He was also the proud owner and operator of RK Electronics. He served as an elder at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Jackson. Roger was a long time resident of Parma. He enjoyed camping in his younger years, riding his Honda Silver Wing motorcycle, and long conversations with his family and his cats. Roger was known by all for his sense of humor and his many jokes.
Roger is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janet, daughter Rebecca (William) Engelter, son Brian (Kathy) Kloepfer, grandchildren, Christina, Spencer, Dustin and Allison, and great-grandson Elliott. Roger is preceded in death by his sister Joyce and first wife Linda.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 3501 Morrill Rd., Jackson, MI on Saturday August 9th. Visitation will be held at 10 am with a service at 11 am with Pastor Mark Eckert officiating.
