Deanna Elizabeth Swank

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the age of 85.  Born March 15, 1938 in Jackson, MI the daughter of Roy C. Ray and Eva K. (Jensen) Ray.  Deanna retired from West Point Lounge Restaurant after 48 years of service.  She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and reading.

Surviving are her 3 children Sherry McCormick, Dana (David) Gingrich, and Steven Swank; 7 grandchildren, Troy, Angie (Justin), Richard, Dustin, Alysha, Amanda, Nikki; and many great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Constance) Ray; 2 nieces, and cousins and many other family member and countless friends.  Deanna was preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky; and her parents.

The celebration of Deanna’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203 with Michael D. Mason officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 A.M. Sunday at the funeral chapel.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America in memory of Deanna.
