David Miller Obituary

David Quinten Miller, age 75, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.  He was the son of Virginia “Pat” (Patterson) Miller and Quinten Dee Wayne “Hot Dog” Miller.  He was born on May 15, 1945 in Jackson, MI.  He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Denise; children Kelly (Rick) Leyva, of Carruna, Ca,  Kevin Miller and Kristin Brinkman; grandchildren Anthony, Amanda and Alex Leyva, Gage Miller, Season and Eric Pietroytys, and Olivia (Connor) Alexander; three great-grandsons; brother Rick (Susan) Miller, sister-in-law Judy (Al) Lefere, brother-in-law Dennis (Judy) Marrinan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Jim and Rita Jenks, Denny & Buzzy Maurer and many others.  He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Laura Smith, his parents, Dee Wayne and Virginia Miller, two brothers Barry and “Mikie” Miller, nephew Richie Miller and sister-in-law Sharon Grimes. 

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University, was a veteran of the US Army serving his country in the Vietnam War and retired after 30 years of service as a sales manager for Mitchell 1 Automotive in San Diego Ca.  David was a loving husband, dad and grandpa and great-grandpa, he loved his cats Quinnie and Maudie, enjoyed golfing and hanging out with Joe and his golf league buddies at West Point Lounge.  He was a selfless soul with a huge heart and would help anyone in need, he will be sadly missed by many.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 2469 Woodlake Circle, Suite 100, Okemos, MI 48864.
