David M Adams

David M. Adams, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 at Henry Ford Hospice House after a brief illness.   

David was born on December 22, 1937 in Battle Creek, MI to Harold and Jane Adams (Roberts).  He graduated from Battle Creek Central High School.   

After high school, David met his sweetheart, Deanna Dove, at Oliver Corporation in Battle Creek.  They married on June 20, 1959.   Shortly after, David joined the Michigan Army National Guard and served for nine years, until he began working as a draftsman at Aeroquip in 1967.  In January 1968, they moved their young family to Jackson, MI. David later became a supervisor and retired from Eaton Aeroquip Corporation in 2002.  David and Deanna then became snowbirds, wintering in Florida for 15 years.                                    

David was a car enthusiast for his entire life and enjoyed talking about his first car, a 1956 Chevy Bel Air.  He was a member of the Jackson Exchange Club.  He was constantly doing home improvement projects including painting, building projects, gardening, and refinishing furniture.  In later years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and learning to quilt.   

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deanna, being married nearly 60 years.  He is survived by his children Brian (Judy) Adams of Jackson and Elaine (Craig) Taylor of Skandia, MI; grandchildren, Christopher Adams of Jackson; Kevin Adams of Manchester, MI; Leanna Taylor of Negaunee, MI; Shannon Taylor of Savannah, GA and great-grandson, Davin Adams of Jackson. 

The family would like to thank his care teams at Henry Ford Hospital, Jackson County Medical Care Facility, Countryside Manor and Henry Ford Hospice House.   

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 10 am, with funeral services at 11 am at Watson Funeral Home, with Michael Mason officiating.  Interment will be at Battle Creek Memorial Park, immediately following the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Henry Ford Hospice House, 2150 Kingsbrooke Dr, Jackson, MI 49202.
