It is with great sorrow and deep reverence that we announce the passing of Daniel (Danny) Lee Andrews. Dan was born on April 27th, 1942 and departed this life Tuesday, October 26th, 2021. After attending Vandercook Lake Schools and Jackson Community College, he moved to Detroit, and working his way up through the ranks became a longtime managing limited partner/owner of a major, midwest stock brokerage firm. His accomplishments were deep and many. He was a hardworking, caring and brilliant man. In later life, after retirement, he returned to Jackson to care for his aging mother and father and to help raise his five-year-old nephew/son Maxwell, whom he deeply loved, as would the very best of fathers. There was no limit to his concern, devotion and caring.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Burdette and Annabel and his brother Don. He is survived by his wonderful and loving nephew/son Maxwell, his brother Jonathan and his sister Judith.
Among so many other of Dan's attributes, his appreciation for the beauty in nature was manifested by the exquisite berms and flower gardens he created and personally maintained at his home on Francis Street. In every way, Dan was trustworthy, loyal and bighearted. As a father, brother, and friend he was the best. Forever, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Maxwell, Jonathan and all those who knew him well.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5:00-8:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service.
