Of Jackson, passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of his family after a courageous battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Thursday June 6, 2024 age 58 years. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Chris, one son Nathan (Ariana Norman) Messner, one daughter Morgan Messner, his father David Messner, two brothers; David and Rick (Penny) Messner, grandmother Arletta Litteral, father and mother-in-law Robert (Roberta) Kellogg, brother-in-law Bob (Mary Beth) Kellogg, sister-in-law Lori (Ken) Booth. He was preceded in death by his mother Sharleen Messner. Craig graduated from Northwest High School and earned his degree in Automotive Services from Ferris State University. He retired from Chrysler Proving Grounds, Chelsea, MI after 27 years of service. Craig loved ice fishing, hunting, camping and especially spending time with his wife and children. He was an avid Detroit Tiger Baseball Fan. A Celebration of his life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church 3637 Spring Arbor Rd. Thursday June 13, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Zach Holdorf officiating. The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel Wednesday June 12, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00pm and at the church Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service. Contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
