Connie Kelly Obituary

Connie Lynn Kelly passed away unexpectedly on March 31st, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Wayne Kelly, grandparents Lawrence and Dexter Kelly of Closplint, Kentucky, and Bob and Alice King of Norvell, Michigan. She is survived by her mother Linda Reber and stepfather Randy, her brother Bob Kelly and wife Debbie, and her nephew Karsen Kelly. She was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Connie was born on Friday, April 13th 1973, in Jackson, Michigan. She graduated Michigan Center High School. A great deal of her childhood memories were filled with wonderful times spent in Norvell with her many cousins, as well as frequent trips to Kentucky and Florida with her family.

Connie had a great love of nature and would spend her free time driving around in the country looking for wildlife to watch and photograph. She had a tremendous love of all animals, but especially dogs. From her first Maltese-poodle Muffin, to her oldest and longest companion, her Great Pyrenees Bindi. Over the years, Connie would rescue countless number of dogs and spend her time and resources finding them loving homes. Connie enjoyed thrift shopping, and was always trying to find something people could use, or beautiful artwork or jewelry that someone had overlooked. She was an avid reader of all things and could carry on a conversation on many topics. She was fascinated by genealogy, history of Harlan County, creation and afterlife, and all things relating to animals.

She was beautiful, funny, talented, smart, and tough all at the same time. She loved her friends deeply, and she would do anything for them if needed. Her smile, laugh, wittiness and joy of life will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
