Colleen M. Hale

Colleen M. Hale, 55, of Jackson, MI, passed away on May 6th, 2024. Colleen was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy, and is survived by her loving husband, Peyton, children Cullen (Meghan) and Robyn, father, Jim (Carol), and brother Tony (Maureen). She fought a long and hard battle making sure that even in her last days, everyone knew exactly how loved they were.

Colleen was born in Painesville, Ohio. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1986 with many friends

who were also by her side as she fought her battle. Shortly after she graduated, she married Peyton, the love her life. Colleen spent her time working in accounting but her pride and joy was being a stay at home mom with her 2 wonderful kids.

Colleen spent a great amount of time volunteering at Layman’s Lessons ministry, giving her time to helping the homeless. Colleen never said no to her favorite things which included shopping, bowling, cooking, poker, and bunko. Many knew of her love of bingo. If you were lucky enough to tag along, you already knew she played way too many cards and yelled bingo in a voice that was loud, confident, and about 3 registers lower than her typical voice, which always made everyone laugh.

Colleen’s true love in life was spending time with her friends and family. She loved cooking the biggest meals and baking the sweetest treats. During these cherished times she would always have a story to tell and could talk for hours about the latest gossip of the week and who was, “So pretty.” She didn’t care what was being done as long as everyone was together.

The Celebration of Colleen’s Life will be on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 5pm at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI.  There will be visitation from 4pm until the time of service.
