Clifford, age 85, passed away on August 29, 2025 at 9:30 p.m. peacefully at his home, that he built, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 7, 1940 in Lakeview, MI. He is the son of Keats & Essie (Bard) Buchner.
He graduated from Morley Stanwood High School and Spring Arbor College after 2 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, but most of all he loved reading his Bible. He has been a long-time member of the Wesleyan Church. For the last 26 years, he attended New Horizons Community Church. He retired from Camshaft Machine Co after 28 years as purchasing manager, and R & J Plating after 15 years as quality control manager. His retirement began 2009 but he continued to work part-time at various jobs.
He is survived by Carolyn Dee (Carter) Buchner, his wife of 63 years; 5 children, Tamara (David) Parker, Thomas (Barbara) Buchner, Tresa (Larry) Beardslee, Travis (Teri) Buchner, and Tanya (Korban) Miller; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, another due in December; sister, Joyce Bradley and many other family members and friends. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, granddaughter, Zoe Miller, and two brothers, Wayne Buchner and Ken Buchner.
The Celebration of Clifford’s Life will be held at 12:00 on Friday, September 5, 2025 at New Horizons Community Church, 4300 Lansing Ave. Jackson, MI. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. A luncheon will follow the services. Memorial can be sent to: Avon Park Holiness Camp, 1001 W. Lakeisis Ave., Avon Park, Florida 33825.
