Clarice Ludwig Obituary

Ludwig, Clarice M.
Of Jackson, MI, formerly of Pahrump, NV, passed away May 3, 2026, age 86 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, a sister, Elaine Zenner, brother, Duane Gebert, and daughter-in-law Judy Zimmerman.

Surviving are one daughter Dawn (Jeffrey) Rahn, of Jackson, MI, one son Jeffrey Ludwig (Robyn Molar) of Chicago, IL, six grandchildren; Sarah (Corey) Donner, Michael Rahn, Brian (Zoey) Rahn, Atticus Ludwig (Tara Bucklin), Grace Ludwig (Stephen Ayres), Lillian Ludwig (Alex Sirakides), three great-grandchildren, Rhett and Corbin Donner, and Carter Rahn, sister Ardis Spanbauer, brother Merlin Gebert; countless nieces and nephews.

Clarice held many administrative positions over the years while raising her family and took tremendous pride in her work. Her greatest joy was traveling to many fascinating countries with her husband and vacationing in Las Vegas where she resided after his death. She loved the warm desert climate and the view of the mountains that surrounded her home. She enjoyed the Hallmark Channel, playing bingo, was an avid reader of romance novels, loved listening to classical music and never met a puzzle she couldn't complete. She adored her grandchildren with all her heart.

Clarice’s faith was at the center of her life. She was an active member at Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church in Pahrump, mentoring children through catechism classes and assisting with many fund-raising activities for the church. She laughed easily and stayed close to her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial is set for June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, WI, with Father Kitzhaber officiating. Burial will take place at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 AM on the day of the service.
