Christine A. Finch

Christine A. Finch, age 66, of Jackson, Mich., went to be with the Lord Friday, Aug. 18, 2023. She was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., May 19, 1957, the daughter of Paul and Carol Hamilton. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1976 and was married in 1978 to Bob Finch of Jackson. The couple had two children, Matthew and Nathan.

Most people knew Chrissy from working at McDonald’s or Meijer – where she worked for more than 20 years. She retired from Meijer in 2021. She enjoyed baking, making crockpot meals, cross stitching, and writing letters. Chrissy was known for carrying an instamatic camera with her at all times. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul, in 2016; mother, Carol in 2016; her husband Bob in 2000, and brother David in 1978. She is survived by two sisters, Missy (Jeff) Steers and Beth Dziurkiewicz; brothers, Jim (Karin) Hamilton and Tom Hamilton; two sons, Matthew and Nathan; three grandchildren, Hana Finch, Alecia Finch, and Gideon Snow; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; friends Joy Anderson, Francetta Goss, and Juanita Jones; her two cats Bootsy and Bella; and her Church families from Bethel Baptist Church, Church of God, and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a social butterfly who was most thoughtful, a caring individual, always sending cards to friends and family members.

A celebration of her life will be held at Bethel Church, 1691 Springport Road, Jackson, MI on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Jordan Napier officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Henry Ford Hospice Home of Jackson.  The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 3:00-7:00pm and at the church on Friday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
