Charles Edward Wrzesinski, born September 11, 1943 of Jackson, MI, died Saturday, January 25, 2025 at home. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Susan (Conley), two children, Laura Jane of Crested Butte, CO and Philip Charles of Jackson, MI, and two grandsons, Parker and Ian, both of Ann Arbor, MI. He is also survived by three sisters, Carolyn Hilliker, Margaret Just (David), and Phyllis Najera (Ralph), and two in-laws Stephen Conley (Darla) and Sharon Vanderpool (John).

Charles graduated from Jackson High School in 1961 and The University of Michigan in 1965 with a degree in journalism. He wrote for Newsweek, Jackson Citizen Patriot and Kids in Common Magazine, and won an award for political science writing. He joined his father-in-law, Phil Conley, at Toy House in August, 1969. He and his wife bought Toy House in 1977 and ran it until his retirement in 2005.

Charles loved gardening, especially his hostas in Wrzesinski Park (his backyard), golfing (including a hole-in-one on his last round ever), and rooting for his Michigan Wolverines.
