Celia Anita Moffitt

Moffitt, Celia A., Age 87, of Jackson, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2025, at home with her family. 

Celia is the daughter of John and Thelma Sluiter and was born on October 15, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She is survived by her children, Rayette (Ruoff); Pamela (Daniel) Reinker; Philip (Denise) Moffitt; and Ellen (Robert) Walker; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Celia is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Duane Moffitt, sister, Sandra Chomic and one grandson.

She was a homemaker, avid cookie baker, quilt maker, prayer warrior and babysitter. She attended The Summit Church (formerly Jackson Church of God) for over 40 years.

A Celebration of her life will be held at The Summit Church – 565 Robinson Road, Jackson, Michigan with Pastor Jim Morrison officiating on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am until the time of service. Interment will take place following the service at Pherdun Cemetery. A meal will follow interment at New Horizon’s Community Church – 4300 Lansing Avenue, Jackson, Michigan.
