Carolyn Schupbach, age 78, of Rives Junction, passed away at her home on Monday, February 15, 2021, surrounded with the companionship of her two dogs, Minnie and Zuni. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Bell, of Texas; four sons, Bryan (Kelly), Kevin (Lisa), Mark (Amy) and Darren (Jennifer); her former husband and friend, David (Carrie) Schupbach; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Takara, Joseph, Lexi, Jacob, Aspen and Kinzie; six great-grandchildren, Rustee, Melody, Memphis, Issac, Levi and Ellie; nephew, Ryan (Katie) Vincent; niece, Heather (Brian) Butts and her special friend, Bonnie (Doug) Bishop. She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Michael Schupbach; her parents, Arthur and Phyllis Hunt; stepfather, Charles Hagen; brother in law, Harvey Bell and great-niece, MaShayla Conner.
After raising five boys Carolyn received her Bachelors Degree from Spring Arbor University. She used her degree to work at U of M doing neuropsychological testing and later showcased her many talents to manage a private practice for two neurologists in Ann Arbor.
Carolyn was adventurous, courageous and creative. She loved her dogs, RVing, boat racing, showing horses. water skiing, reading, interior design, researching and learning new things, but most of all she loved her family and her friends.
"I planned each chartered course, each careful step along the byway and more, much, much more, I did it, I did it my way". Carolyn has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cascades Humane Society, 1515 Carmen Drive, Jackson, MI 49202.
