79 of Spring Arbor, MI went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Carole was born on October 8, 1938 to Edwin and Amy Gullekson, in Flint, Michigan. She was the youngest of two children, with an older brother Dr. Edwin Gullekson. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Flint and attended the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church where she met Joseph Kulaga. Carole and Joe were married on December 21, 1957 and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her three sons (Mark, Jon and Matt) and their wives, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren and her brother, Dr. Edwin Gullekson Jr. and his wife. Carole’s first loves were her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her husband and family. She loved being a homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed serving her church by planning and presenting children’s musicals, singing in the choir and teaching children’s Sunday School. A celebration of her life will be held at the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church, 120 E. Main Street, Spring Arbor, MI 49283, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reverends Mark Van Valin, Darold L. Hill and Earl L. Habecker officiating, interment Spring Arbor Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Carole may be made to the Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church in care of The Ambassadors Class.
Visitation will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson from 2:00 -5:00 p.m., and at the church on Monday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
