Carman Munsell Obituary

Munsell, Carman Dale, Age 82 of Spring Arbor, Michigan passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Kay; Parents, Norman and Donna Munsell; step-mother, Evelyn and granddaughter, Shanea Marie Hull. Carman is survived by his step-children, Teresa (Earnest) Kaufman; Tonia (Stan) Zanger, and Dalton Holt; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; half-siblings David (Christine) Munsell and Brenda Pieske; nieces and nephews. Carman grew up on the family farm in the Hudson area and made a career of farming and driving a truck. Over the years, he hauled milk from the farm to the dairy and retired with over 20 years of service of driving cement mixers and semi’s for Wilbee Transit-Mix. Carman was a member of the South Central Woodcarvers, Teamsters Local #164, and Cement City Masonic Lodge #435. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Carman’s life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel, 2590 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. A Masonic Memorial Service will be included within the service with the Reverend Ned Bernstein officiating. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Chicago.
