Brenda Arndt Stanfield

Brenda Arndt Stanfield, aged 66, of Jackson passed away April 22nd, 2024, at U of M Medical Center of cardiac arrest secondary to metastatic breast cancer, which she courageously fought for many years.  Her sister and best friends were by her side.  Brenda was born May 19th, 1957, to parents, Conrad “Jack” and Marilyn (Salisbury) Arndt. She was mostly a lifelong resident of Jackson MI and was a 1975 graduate of Parkside High School. We will fondly remember her for her hippie, nature-loving ways. She loved most music genres, especially Folk, Classic Rock & Roll, and Celtic. She attended many Wheatland Music festivals and was often seen around town driving her beloved classic VW Sun Bug. She was most happy surrounded by friends at the lake, around a bonfire, or at home caring for her many adored pets. Tending her flowers was one of her passions along with her spiritual connection to the sun and moon.  Brenda had a varied work life with careers in Pharmacy (Flat Iron & Welcome), Retail (Brown’s Floral, Target & Kohl’s), Management, and Human Resources (Advance Employment). Her smile and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bruce Arndt, husband John Stanfield, uncles and aunts, George (Pat) Salisbury, Jim (Dorla) Arndt, Joanne Kozlowski, Richard Baldermann, Marge Gladu, and Marion McIntosh. Brenda is survived by her sister Bev (Tim) Maher, uncles and aunts Dan (Kay) Arndt, Dave (Dee) Arndt, Gary Gladu, Marcia Baldermann and several cousins from the Arndt and Salisbury families. She also leaves behind her beloved cats Stan and Ollie. She will be missed by her friends, past co-workers and all who knew her. 

According to her request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her Life will be held at South Jackson Community Church, 1024 W Kimmel Rd, Jackson, MI (at the corner of Kimmel Road and S. Jackson Road) on Saturday May 4th, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Pastor Steve Brown will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cascades Humane Society or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of your choice.  Arrangements are through Watson Funeral Chapel.
