Bonita "Bonnie" Diane (Bissell) Dawson

Bonnie Dawson, age 84 of Hanover, MI passed away on November 25, 2021 at Highland Assisted Living & Memory Care, Jackson, MI.  She was born on August 3, 1937 in Jackson, MI to Clair W. and Hilda V. (Sawdey) Bissell.  They preceded her in death along with her brother Milton and sister Jeanette and special friend Debbie Knickerbocker.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dean Dawson; daughter Jody (Robert) Arbuckle and son Craig (Rita) Dawson; 4 grandchildren Mike (Amanda) Arbuckle, Chris (Abby) Arbuckle, Adam (Kelli) Arbuckle, Kimberly (Will) Sloan; great-grandchildren Carter, Avery, Ragan, Sam, Nolan and Anabelle Arbuckle, Brayden Sloan; step-grandsons John (Becky) Martines, Joe (Kim) Martines, Jason (Kristin) Martines, Jared (Danielle) Riske, Josh (Dana) Riske, Jordan (Cassandra) Riske; 25 step-greatgrandchildren; stepbrother Robert Goldsmith, step-sister Gloria Michaels.

Bonnie was a homemaker.  She enjoyed bowling and traveling with the bowling girls to tournaments.  Lifetime member of the Eunice Tyler Birthday Club.  She enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.  Watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren showing their pigs at the fair.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Watson Funeral Chapel, 2390 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI.  Visitation will be from 10am to noon with the service beginning at noon.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place.  Burial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1965 Boardman Road, Suite B, Jackson, MI 49202.
