Beverly J. (Shaw) Hasbrouck, Age 93, passed away on May 8, 2026 surrounded by her friends and family.
She was born in North Adams, Michigan on May 10, 1932 to Edgar M. Shaw and Josephine (Miller) Shaw.
Beverly was a graduate of Jonesville High School class on 1950 and had a life-long career working as a receptionist with Consumers Energy. She married the love of her life, Raymond Hasbrouck in January of 1951 and spent 61 years together, until his passing in 2012.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hasbrouck, her sister, Betty (Shaw) Grow, and her parents, Edgar and Josephine Shaw.
Beverly is survived by her brother, Daryl (Martha) Shaw, her sister-in-law, Sandra Murdock, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered fondly by everyone who met her. Beverly was an avid baker and known for her delicious brownies. She and her husband, Raymond, loved boating together on Lake Michigan. She spent many years as a volunteer for the Optimist Club and long-time member of Grace Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor can be made to Grace Church or Arbor North Living Center.
A Celebration of her life will take place on June 20, 2026 at St. Paul’s Church of Grand Rapids 2560 Lake Michigan Drive NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan beginning at 11:00am with Reverend Kathy Bartels, officiating.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
