Betty Jean (Mackey) Pultz

Of Jackson, passed away December 15, 2020 age 89 years.  She is survived by her husband of 64 ½ years, Pete, two daughters; Laurie Nelson of Jackson, and Michelle (John) Orthaus of Hanover, one son Peter (Kate) Pultz Jr. of Royal Oak, one sister Nancy Draper of Indiana, numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her brother James and sister Marion.  She graduated from Purdue University in 1953. Betty and Pete were married June 23, 1956.  After retiring from Jackson Public Schools, she volunteered at the Ella Sharp Museum Gift Shop and various Jackson Public Schools activities.  She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and the church choir where she played piano.  She was also a member of the Tuesday Musicale, enjoyed golfing, Bridge and traveling.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 743 W. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Jim Hegedus officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of service.
