Betty Kulpa

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 92. Betty was the daughter of Alfred & Jessie Gignac.  She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Charles along with her daughters Teri Shore-Thomas, Alecia Shore-Nosse, Jody (Patrick) Shore-Benson.  Betty was adored by her grandchildren, Rob, Mindi, Jason, & Adam along with her 5 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Diane, and brother Richard.   One of our mom’s greatest joy and memories was dancing the jitterbug at Bartlett’s Resort.  She passed on her love of dance to her daughters.  One of Teri’s fondest memories is of mom teaching her how to skate on the homemade ice rink in our backyard.  Alecia’s favorite memory includes sitting around the piano and singing to one of mom’s favorite tunes.  Jody continues to be thankful for Mom’s guidance that has made her become the person that she is today. Mom will be greatly missed and we will love her forever and keep her close to our heart.  According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. She will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn cemetery in Leslie, MI.

Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff  at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital’s 7th floor for their compassion and care that mom received.
