Bette graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in 1938, and on January 1, 1940 married the love of her life, Arthur D. Lowe who preceded her in death on October 17, 2006. Bette was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, devoted to raising her family. She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Jerry) and Richard ‘Dick” Lowe; grandchildren, Dawn Lowe and Danielle (Kyle) Thwaits; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Carly Lund and Kenley and Kori Thwaits; numerous other relatives. Bette was a stay-at-home mom, eventually she worked 20 plus years retiring from Jackson Public School System. She loved her job and her co-workers, but especially enjoyed all her “kids” at the schools over the 20 plus years she was there. Her family and caring for them was her life. She dearly loved spending time with all of them. She was loved by many and will be missed. The family would like to thank her immediate neighbors for their support and passion. Due to Coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
