Bessie W. Perkins,

Age 98 (almost 99), went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2022.  She was a resident of Vista Grande Villa, Jackson, MI.  She was the remaining survivor of 12 children born to John L. and Bessie B. (Stanley) Deets on July 11, 1923 in Emerson, IL.  She graduated from Open Bible Seminary and Sauk Valley College.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years.

She is survived by two children, her son, Melvin L. Snitchler of Frisco, TX and her daughter, Bessie L. (Snitchler) Reeverts; grandchildren Jodie K. (Reeverts) Brown and her husband, Dave and Angelica B. (Lindberg) and her husband, Calvin; great-granddaughter, Catalina B. (Lindberg) Baggett and her husband, Stephen; great-grandson Trevor J. Lindberg; great-great-grandson, Sterling J. Baggett; numerous additional grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special family friends. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings and her parents, John and Bessie Deets; her husbands, Percy H. Snitchler and Bernon Perkins; son, Daniel R. Snitchler (living spouse Rosalinda and daughter Teresa); and special friend, Jon De Palma.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.  Many thanks to the staff and friends of the Bethel Baptist Church family, 1691 Springport Road, Vista Grande Villa, and Southern Care Hospice of Jackson, MI.
