Arthur (Dave) Toomer Obituary

Arthur (Dave) Toomer of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly November 28th, at age 78. He enjoyed garage sailing, saving turtles on his daily cruises and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a collector of vinyl records and 8 tracks. He often would show up with toys or legos for the grandkids. He was a thoughtful, kind hearted dad and Papa. Dave was a veteran, serving in the US Navy during Vietnam. He retired from Wyandotte Electric Supply after 37 years.

Surviving are his 2 children, Patrice Force and Andrew Toomer, 5 grandchildren; Stephanie (Zachary) Reeve, Alexander (Diana) Hall, Emily Herr, Ashton Herr, and Daniel Toomer; 4 great grandchildren, Lyric, Tiger, Elliana, and Tavion; siblings Ron, Rick, Mike, and Sue; and many nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 37 years, Nancy (2010); daughter, Carmen Toomer (2010) and son, David Toomer (2015).

According to his wishes Dave has been cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life in the near future. Please express condolences to the family at www.watson-funeral-chapels.com.
