Arlene Joyce (Webb, Showerman) Harle of Jackson, has entered her new life in Heaven on September 1, 2020. She was born to Lloyd and Eunice (Cogswell) Webb on June 9, 1928. Arlene was employed by Kent-Moore and Kent-Moore Credit Union. She became a member of Ganson Street Baptist Church in 1949. She spent many winters in Largo, Florida, working in travel resort park offices. Arlene enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, Europe, China, Israel, and Egypt. She enjoyed photography, journaling, and crafts, especially the design and creation of custom counted cross stitch pictures for family and friends.
Arlene is survived by four sons, David (Robin) Showerman, Gary (Carolyn) Showerman, Bradford (Leda) Showerman, and Brian Showerman, as well as step-daughter Jean (Ed) Chaffin, step-son John Harle, step daughter-in-law Marjorie Harle Morris, “adopted daughter” Bonnie McAuley; grandchildren Cory, Lucas (Maryanne), Matthew (Michelle Jarnigan) Showerman, Rebekah (Martell Mehan) Showerman, Caleb (Tara Martinez) Showerman, and Brent Showerman, step-grandchildren Jason (Alison) Harle, Jenny Vanderpool, Keri (David) Smith, Kera (Tommy) Jeffers, and Chase Vincent. She is also survived by great-granddaughters Lilly Mehan and Annabelle Showerman, step great-grandchildren Austin, Kylah, Autumn, William, James Harle, Garren and Evan Vanderpool, Silas and Eden Smith, Bryn, Xander, Maks, and Sloan Jeffers. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Juanita Burns, four nieces and families, cousins, and church family and friends. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Edmund Webb, husbands LaVern Showerman and Robert Harle, infant grandson Benjamin Showerman, and stepson James Harle. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home for their compassionate care of Arlene.
The family will greet friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel on Thursday 6-8pm and for one hour before the 11am service at Ganson Street Baptist Church on Friday September 4, 2020 with Rev. Allen Grover and Rev. Don Deaver officiating. Interment is at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ganson Street Baptist Church Missions Fund, Youth Haven Ranch or Drive-In Ministries.
