Ardiss Joan Alcenius

Ardiss J. Alcenius of Jackson, passed away April 25, 2021 age 87 years.  She is survived by one son Steve (Gay) Alcenius of Clarklake, five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one sister Peggy Butler of Laingsburg and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tom, in 2013, two sons and one daughter; Dan Alcenius, Becky Kendel and Marty Alcenius.  She enjoyed camping and canoeing with family and children, was a devoted wife and mother and a faithful follower of Christ.  According to her wishes cremation has taken place.  A celebration of her life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3637 Spring Arbor Rd on Thursday April 29 at 6:00 pm with the Reverend Carl Bassett officiating.  Contributions in her memory may be made to SouthernCare Hospice Services affiliated with Highland Assisted Living and Memory, 1965 Boardman Rd, Suite B, Jackson, MI 49202.   The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
