After 75 magical years of life our beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend has passed away in the beautiful Copper Country, her happy place. Anne Marie was born in Hancock, Michigan St. Joseph’s Hospital to Raynard (Bud) and Dorothy (Fountain) Tarbox on January 30, 1949. As a child, she loved playing cards and multiple activities with her loved ones and neighborhood families on Water Street. She was an athlete; biking, skating, hockey, bowling, and outside exploring. She shared memories of playing dolls and stroller pushing with her young cousins. In High School she planned to become a teacher and buy a Corvette. So she began attending Michigan Tech the school across the canal. She met a young engineering student Camiel, whom she met at a Tech mixer, September 21, 1967 and were married, August 30, 1969. There began a love affair that continues today 57 years later.
Anne Marie and Camiel built a wonderful life in Concord raising 10 children, providing unforgettable holidays was her specialty.
She was active in the Community School and Church and was a constant supporter of her children’s and husband’s many activities.
Some of her passions in life were cheering on her beloved GB Packers, knitting blankets, jet skiing, driving the car, and fireworks.
She is survived by her loving husband Camiel Thorrez, 10 children, 26 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
