Amy Marie Ashenfelter

46 of Jackson, Michigan, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side and Great Lakes Caring Hospice.  Amy was the daughter of David and Jaqueline Samulak, born February 5, 1973 in Jackson, MI. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Jason Ashenfelter; daughter, Skylar and son, Trevor Ashenfelter; her mother; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Brandon Smith; mother and father -in-law, David and Cindy Herrmann; numerous aunts and uncles; one niece and one nephew. Amy was preceded in death by her father. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and Adrian College with her Bachelor’s Degree. Amy worked for Meijer for over six years in Customer Service where she loved working with people. She dearly loved spending time with her family especially her precious children. Amy loved drawing, gardening and dearly adored Calla Lilies. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, 1111 Carlton Boulevard, Jackson, MI 49203 on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM, Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Amy may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass.
