Agnes Norton Obituary

Agnes (Holzworth) Norton of Milton, MA went to be with the Lord on November 2,2024. Born in Jackson, Michigan on November 17, 1933, Agnes is the daughter of the late John & Marie Holzworth. She graduated from St. Mary High School and attended nursing school, before becoming a stewardess for American Airlines. In 1957 she married the late Frank X. Norton and is survived by her children John F. Norton and his wife Robin M. Norton and Susan A. Langill and her partner Chip Hart, six grandchildren Christopher Norton, Patrick Norton, Amanda (husband Nick)  Quaglia, Megan Norton, Kathryn Langill, Ryan Langill and great-grandchild Emmett Quaglia.

She is preceded in death by 5 siblings Marion Eisele, Phyllis Miller, Lynn Horn, Elizabeth Hardwick, Mike Holzworth and survived by siblings Dorothy Horn and Jane Dillon both of Jackson. Agnes was very proud of her Jackson roots and family which included over 40 nephews and nieces.

A devout Catholic, she spent many years teaching future Catholics through the Religious Ed program. She was a parishioner of St Elizabeth Catholic Church in Milton, MA.

Among her favorite past times in later years was her love and joy of spending time with family and neighborhood friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church 111 Carlton Blvd., Jackson, MI., Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10:30am, visitation at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Milton, MA at a later date.
