Winifred Mae (Ross) Engle

Of Jackson, MI, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the age of 97. Winn was the daughter of Jesse James and Frieda (Kaiser) Ross born August 18, 1921 in Albion, MI. She was preceded in death by husbands, Peter Iuni and Robert Engle; daughter Janice Wetters; her parents; brother, Bernard Ross; daughter-in-law, Alice Iuni. Winn is survived by her son, James Iuni; sister, Frances Fiero-Kaiser; four granddaughters, Gay (Stephen) Alcenius, Robin Ellison, Holly (Colin) Paul, and Dawn (Brian) Reaume; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Winn was a graduate of Jackson High School and School of Cosmetology in Jackson. She worked for a short time at Glasgow’s Beauty Shop, then retired to being a loving, wonderful homemaker to her loving family. She especially enjoyed taking care and being with her wonderful grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, and decorating for every season. Winn was a wonderful, kind person that will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Reverend Michael Geml officiating, interment St. John Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Winn, may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3637 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, October 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and at the church Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am
