Of Jackson, MI went to be with her Lord surrounded by her son and daughter at Faith Haven Senior Care Center on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the age of 88. Wanda was the daughter of Irvin and Mary Biddinger, born December 16, 1929 in Jackson, MI. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Reverend Loyal S. Hire; son, Pastor Vince (Bonita) Bridge of Parma, MI; daughter, Jackie (Glenn) Hendershot of Leslie, MI; step-daughters, Dawn (Tom) Clausen of Fairbanks, Alaska; Denise Arnold of Lansing, MI; Maxine (Danny) Bottoms of Plano, Texas; and Kim (Mike) Hanchek of Nashville, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron Biddinger, Don (Barb) Biddinger, Phil Biddinger; sister, Viola Decker; and sister in-law, Delores Biddinger; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lewis, Daniel, and Irvin Jr.; sister in-law, Jean; brother in-law, Dean; great-grandson, Balin. She graduated from the Adult Education at Leslie High School Class of 1976. Wanda had worked multiples jobs, such as, caregiver, dietician, cook, baker, and retailer. She was very involved in every aspect of the church she attended, Leslie First Baptist Church, and New Horizon Community Church. Wanda enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, traveling, her feline friends Parable, Midnight, and Fredrick, and spending time with her family. She fought a valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years. A special thank you to the caring staff of Faith Haven Senior Care Center, where she lived for over three years, Region 2 Department of Aging, and Home Instead. A Celebration of her life will be held at the New Horizons Community Church, 4300 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI 49201 on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 1:00pm; Pastor Jerry Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Horizons Community Church, 4300 Lansing Ave., Jackson, MI 49201.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm and at the church on Wednesday from 12:00pm until the time of service.
