Sharon Lynne Gennety

Of Jackson passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 75.  Sharon was the daughter of William and Jane (Brzozowski) Strong, born February 3, 1943 in Jackson, MI. Sharon is survived by three sons, Mark Gennety, Robert (Laura) Gennety, and Jeffery Gennety; five grandchildren; sister, Sandy Townsend; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Rita) Strong; brother-in-law, Jack Townsend.

Sharon was a graduate of St. John Catholic School. She started her working career with Thorrez Industries for several years, then following her dreams as a self-employed dance instructor for over 20 years, where she taught many how to line dance with style. Sharon loved spending time with her beloved family, enjoyed music and dancing. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, November 26, at 11:00 AM, Father James Shaver officiating. Interment at St. John Catholic Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Chapel on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
