Ruth Luella Meserva

Of Bay City, MI, formerly of Jackson, passed away at the Carriage House on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the age of 96. She was the daughter of Frank and Eva Kipp, born October 25, 1922 in Jackson, MI. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, who passed March 28, 1995; her parents; 13 brothers and sisters; and son in-law, Charlie D. Miller. She is survived by three children, Diana Miller, Richard (Dawn) Meserva, and Sue (Samuel) Soriteu; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Robert, Kurt, Kip, Corey, Marty, Jason, and Jenifer; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Sprague. Ruth was a graduate from Jackson High School. She worked for Jackson County as a clerk for over 16 years, then retired from Northwest School District as a secretary. Ruth was a Member of the Eastern Star (Rainbow Girls), Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Griswold PTA, and Greenwood Ave Sunday School Superintendent. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, her retirement in Texas where she managed a hotel with her husband. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 12:00pm, Pastor Dyke Cyphers officiating. Interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
