Robert Clare Dexter

Of Spring Arbor, MI, on August 19th 2018 Clare Dexter slipped peacefully into life eternal, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born December 5, 1932 to Carl and Arlene Dexter who predeceased him. Also predeceased by, his wife of 50 years, Marian; son, Wes Dexter, and two brothers. He is survived by two sons, Rick (Cindy) Dexter, Ron (Vicky) Dexter; daughter, Dawn (Justin) Hunter; daughter-in-law, Linda Dexter; his brother; four sisters; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of his life will be at New Covenant Living Church, 2405 W. Washington Avenue, Jackson, MI 49203, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM, Toby Teague officiating. According to Clare’s wishes cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Albion Free Methodist Church, 1014 Maple Street, Albion, MI 49224.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, August 21, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and Thursday, August 23, from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
