Rachel Anne Wheeler

Of Pulaski, MI, went home to be with her Lord while at Henry Ford Allegiance Health of Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the age of 68. Rachel was the daughter of William Warren and Evelyn Deliah (Jodoin) Sutton, born July 4, 1949 in Brooklyn, MI. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and high school sweetheart, James Wheeler; her parents; two brothers, Larry and Danny; infant sister, Sharonn Sutton. She is survived by three children, Scott (Laurie) Wheeler, Kimberly Coburn, and Jennifer (Steve) Jarvis; 16 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evan, Alex, Cheyenne, Brooke, Bryce, Chase, Coleman, Chad, David, Steve, Missy, Chris, Jason, Dillon, Brandon; three great-grandchildren, Liliana, Carson and Raeleigh; her siblings, Warren Sutton, Ruth (Victor) Kelly, Harold (Vera) Sutton, and Walter (Virginia) Sutton; several special friends. Rachel was a 1967 Concord High School graduate, Jackson Community College graduate and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University.  She started her LPN work at Albion Hospital, her RN for over 40+ years, at W.A. Foote Memorial now called Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was a member of the 1ST Presbyterian Church in Concord for 50+ years. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time in her gardens as well. A celebration of her life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Reverend Timothy Marvil officiating, interment Maple Grove Cemetery in Concord, MI. Memorial contributions for those who wish may be made to her family.
